Thinking of learning to spin yarn? Let me teach you!
I teach spinning classes for both the drop spindle and the spinning wheel. Each session is specifically tailored to the student. Wool is provided for the lesson and spinning wheels/spindles are available to borrow or buy.
Instruction generally involves topics such as:
- Fiber selection and preparation
- Wheel/spindle anatomy, set up, and operation
- Spinning Yarn
- Finishing Yarn
- Wheel maintenance
Both singles and groups are welcome!
One session (for one person) is 3 hours for $100
Group sessions (2+ people) are 3 hours for $85 per person.
We are based in Valdosta, GA and generally teach in or around Valdosta.
I do travel to teach as well but would have to be coordinated in advance and there would be an additional charge for travel.
